Pre-game
I have left it so late in this trip to go to my beloved Soldier field. i have actually never been to Soldier Field to see the Bears play before. in 2002 I was living in Chicago and I went to see their opening game against the Vikings, but this was played at Champain, Illinois, when Soldier field was being rebuilt.
Hopefully at this pat of the season both the Saints and the Bears will be close to qualifying for the playoffs and both will be playing their full teams to get a win. The Bears were not quite as a solid as the year before when they got to the Superbowl, last year they did not even qualify for the playoffs. Though with some decent rookie picks and hopefully Rex Grossman can start to be more consistent we should be knocking onthe playoffs door. Both the Vikings and Lions have improved and of course the Packers are still a good team without Brett Favre.
I have always enjoyed the weay the Saints play their football, as I saw them play in my first NFL game back in 1990 in London, for a pre-season game. Though the Bears are my first team and seeing them on aThursday night game will be amazing. Our defense is going to need to step up against Reggie Bush and Drew Brees. Urlacher and a healthy Mike Brown sould squash their attacking threat. And with the most exciting football player on the planet: Devin Hester the Saints will be worried. If they chose not to kick to him, that's ok, we'll just play him as receiver.
I will be seeing the bears at home again in week 16. If there was going to be a team I was going to see twice, well it has to be the Bears!
