1. Game 1 My trip starts at Giants Stadium

Finally had a breather on the bus towards the Giants Stadium. Everyone on the bus was really supportive of the trip and they even filled out a bunch of questionaires already. Some have been lifelong Giants fans and it was really interesting riding the bus with these guys.

It took a little while to get to the stadium as there was traffice and we parked up with only minutes before kick off. Thankfully we took a few shots with the banner outside the stadium. Sadly the Giants Stadium told me I could not take my poster/card into the grouds which was a shame as I thought it could help me meet fans and get exposure. Oh well.

We took our seats in section 335 wearing the t-shirts and we got some great pictures and many of the fans were really supportive. It was good atmosphere and a beautiful stadium. The crowd took a little while to get into the game, but really the Redskins vaguely showed up and played very safe football. Once the Giants scored early with an Eli Manning making a run, they also played conservative football in order to get their first wion of the season.

I was not able to do much tailgating at the this game, but the coach was a great substitute for that. After the game  I met some more fans and they were really fun and everyone carried on driking and being really supportive. It was a great night and it was good to see the home team wion on my first game.!

Thank you Blind Pig bar and for everyone that helped me out!

Cheers

Pre-game

For a few seasons now the Superbowl winning team, has hosted the following NFL season opener. After the Giant's "David over Goliath" win in last year's Super Bowl, they will be hosting the Washington Redskins. I saw the Giants play in London last season against the Dolphins and both teams had good support. Though because the Giants have won the Superbowl, I think the crowd are really going to get behind their team more than ever. I'm looking forward to kickstarting the trip with such an historic rivalry with both teams being in the same division. I have been to a Giants pre-eason game before, and it was a lot of fun, but the opening the season really will be amazing!

This will be a great start to my 35 NFL game record breaking trip!

Hello Adam,

Ambitious plan to attend 35 games during the season! My name is John Rodriguez and I'm a forum moderator for a Chargers fan website called Bolt Bunker (www.boltbunker.com). Your story was posted on our site and made for some really interesting reading.

Anyway, as your 6th game (Chargers vs Jets) approaches I would like to invite you to log onto our site, introduce yourself, and maybe relate your experiences thus far. You are also welcome to attend our Bolt Bunker pre-game tailgate as our guest. A group of football crazed Chargers fans gathering together with great food and drink, who would welcome you like you were one of our own!

Feel free to contact me as this game approaches. If you would like, I can probably get you some game day materials for the Chargers - Jets game not normally available to the public (I work for the NFL on game days in the Chargers press box with the statistics crew).

Best

John
