Pre-game
This is the game I have not only been looking forward to this season, but ever since I was a Bears fan for over 20 years ago. For me this is the great historic rivalry in the NFL, and I can't beleive I have waited this long in my life to see this great divisional rivalry.
This is the 2nd time on this trip seeing the Bears play at home, and I'm sure with the Packers in the town, the crowd are going to get behind the Bears like mad dogs. If there is one team the Bears want to win against it is the Packers, and vice versa. For this game to be on a Monday Night Football is a dream come true and it does not matter what kind of a season we are are having, there will be so much motivation to step up and play our best against the Packers.
Although they are our rivals, I do not hate them and over the years Brett Favre has been my favorite player. Without him on offense we stand a good chance, then again he played last year and we destroyed them. Often in big games, the big players get a lot of press like Urlacher and Hester, but it is often the non superstars that shine in big games and I'm looking for some of my other favorites to have good games.
All my friends who are Bears fans, talk about this matchup like it is the super bowl, it is the one we HAVE to win. After living in Chicago in 2002 for a summer I have befriended a fair few Bears fans along the way and hopefully we can get a good crowd together for this big game!
This game will also cap off the 4th game I would haave seen this week, surely a record, and although I will be tired from driving from Jacksonville, to Dallas to Kansas City and then to Chicago in 5 days, I will be very much alive and klicking for this monster of a football game!
Go Bears!!
